Ella Bertilsson & Ulla Juske

Ella Bertilsson and Ulla Juske are a Swedish-Estonian visual artist duo based in
Dublin. Together they produce site-specific audio-installations considering the
relationship between time and memory; place and identity.

 

This collaboration started during their postgraduate studies on the MFA in Art in the Digital World programme at the National College of Art and Design (NCAD) and have continued to do so over the last two years. In 2016 they undertook a residency with the Association of Icelandic Artists in Reykjavik, Iceland (July-September). The same year, they received Nordic Culture Point Mobility Award to exhibit a project titled Uncertain Matter with Outvert Art Space & ArtsIceland, Isafjordur, Nordic House,
Reykjavik and Deiglan Gallery, Akureyri in Iceland.


Upcoming solo exhibitions in 2018, Hobusepea Gallery in Tallinn and in Draíocht
Art Centre in Dublin. Selected recent solo exhibitions includes Museum of an
Unknown Person, Circe Pavilion, Dublin, 2017. The Waiting Room at Artbox
Gallery in Dublin, 2017, Uncertain Matter, public commissions by the Nordic
House in Reykjavik, 2017 and Time is what happens when nothing else does by
Office of Public Works in association with the Royal Hibernian Academy in
Dublin, 2015.
