BLOCK T Skillsets presents // The Portrait in Oil with artist Nicholas Robinson // 4 Tuesday mornings, starting March 24th // 09:30 - 13:00

BlockT presents The Portrait in Oil, a short portrait-painting course with artist Nicholas Benedict Robinson (NCAD/ Florence Academy of Art graduate, Hennessy Portrait Prize finalist, Zurich Portrait Prize finalist, Royal Society of Portrait Painters/ RHA /RUA exhibitor.)

Participants will paint from the live model on this 4 week course. In a step-by-step process we will block in the head, develop three-dimensional form, the light effect and develop a likeness of the sitter. Instruction focuses on observation skills, use of materials, mixing, colour theory and painting technique. Instruction is on an individual basis so all levels are welcome. The course runs for 3.5 hours weekly.
