Skillsets presents The Portrait in Oil, a 5 week morning course course with artist Nicholas Benedict Robinson (NCAD/ Florence Academy of Art graduate, Hennessy Portrait Prize finalist, Zurich Portrait Prize finalist, Royal Society of Portrait Painters/ RHA /RUA exhibitor.)

Participants will paint from the live model on this 5 session course. In a step-by-step process we will learn the skills necessary to develop three-dimensional form, explore the light effect and develop a likeness of the sitter. Instruction focuses on observation skills, use of materials, mixing, colour theory and painting technique. Instruction is on an individual basis so all levels are welcome. The course runs for 3 hours every day for 5 weeks.

* Unfortunately, no refunds are given. Please make sure that you, or the person you are gifting the workshop to, can attend this workshop.

 

If you cannot attend the workshop we can reschedule your workshop if you inform us up to 21 days prior to the workshop's start date. If you request to reschedule less than 21 days before the workshop starting date we will not be in a position to change the date. Places can be given to a friend if you can no longer attend - please inform us as soon as you can with the new attendee's contact details.
